Me, Myself and food
Majority of girls are afraid to express their love for food. I'm not one of them, I do love my food. Food is a process in which I express myself and a way to experience new people, new places, and new cultures. When I visit a new place, I always explore and experience the food they have to offer there. For example, when I go on a Royal Caribbean cruise, I eat a huge variety of
cultural food, such as Caribbean sushi. When in New Orleans, I eat majority of their traditional food, such as Gumbo, Jambalaya and Beignets. With me being British, I adore the traditional foods of Fish and Chips, the Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding, and the Steamed Treacle Pudding. A tradition that's big in England is to have a big Sunday breakfast, which my family and I still do. The breakfast consists of orange juice, cereals, stewed or fresh fruits. But the heart of the full breakfast is bacon and eggs. We also serve it with sausages, grilled tomato, mushrooms, tea, toast and marmalade.
When growing up with my parents and my older brother, I certainly love the homemade cooking, especially my grandma’s recipe of homemade spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, and my favorite, the ice cream. During the holidays, my family and I go all out.
Everything that is served is homemade. Just the way I like it. Other than me loving the homemade cooking, I absolutely love spicy food, especially the Mexican cuisine. Enchiladas, Quesadillas, and Capirotada are just the start of the Mexican food I love. I came to the conclusion that food is a way to keep us humans alive. But it’s also a way to connect with other people and their culture. As I get older, I want to travel the world to experience more cultural foods. I would want to travel basically anywhere. But I would want to travel to Africa, India, New Zealand, and China.
